Remembrance Day

Woodchurch High School was pleased to join with BBC Radio Merseyside for their ‘Thought for the Day’ slot the week of Remembrance Day. Five pupils from Year 10 were involved who both wrote and recorded reflections which were Broadcast across Merseyside. A presenter from BBC Radio Merseyside, Wayne Clarke (seen on the photograph), came into school to record these pieces the week before they went on air. The thoughts, written from a Christian perspective, centred around the theme of Sacrifice, and in keeping with Armistice Day reflected both our Armed Forces and our own individual sacrifices we make every day. The recordings of these are available for you to download and listen to. As a school we wish to thank BBC Radio Merseyside for allowing us to join with them in this important week, and we look forward to further collaboration with them in the future.
