Wirral Met College
Wirral Met College is one of the largest colleges on the Wirral. They have five specialist campuses offering a variety of vocational courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and T Levels.
Their 16-18 study programmes include your main qualification, GCSE maths and English (if required), work experience and employability skills and non-study activities such as voluntary work and trips.
The first T Levels qualifications to be offered at Wirral Met College will include Onsite Construction, Digital and Education & Childcare. T Levels are technical qualifications for students aged 16-19, and are equivalent to taking 3 A Levels.
The Conway Park campus is home to their Visitor Economy courses (such as Travel & Tourism and Culinary Arts); Wirral Waters is their dedicated Construction campus; the Oval campus is dedicated to Sport, Outdoor Education and Public and Uniformed Services, and their Twelve Quays campus includes Science, Technology and Engineering courses, as well as Art, Music, Childcare, Health & Social Care and Higher Education. Hamilton campus opened in September 2021 and is home to their Professional Studies courses – such as accounting, leadership and business.
As well as fantastic facilities, you will get the support you need to progress onto higher level study, jobs, apprenticeships and university. They have excellent links with local employers, which means you will have access to work placements, traineeships and apprenticeships.

Wirral Met – University level courses
Did you know Wirral Met College offers a wide range of university level courses? They work in partnership with the University of Chester, University of Liverpool and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to offer Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates (HNC), Higher National Diplomas (HND) and teacher training qualifications.
Some of their university courses include Fine Art, Illustration with Animation, Early Years, Computer Science, Construction, Engineering, Sociology with Criminology, Science and Teacher Training.
If you haven’t quite got the right grades to start a university level course, they also offer Access to HE courses which are designed to prepare you for study at degree level. Subjects they offer include Art and Design, Psychology, Sociology and Criminology, Nursing, Midwifery and Policing.
