Pupils from the Dance Department had the exciting opportunity to attend a performance of the Hamilton at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. The trip was not only a thrilling theatrical experience but also an inspiring extension of the pupils’ studies.

From the moment the curtain rose, our group was captivated by the show’s dynamic blend of hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and traditional musical theatre styles. The choreography—fast-paced, intricate, and emotionally charged—offered students a unique insight into how dance can be used to tell powerful historical narratives.

Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution, Hamilton tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, through a modern lens. The energy, storytelling, and innovation of the performance left a lasting impression.
