LIVERPOOL EMPIRE AND LIBRARY TRIP
Wednesday 21 May 2025
Our Year 7 pupils enjoyed a fabulous trip to a private venue tour of the Liverpool Empire. Pupils were able to go backstage, sit in some of the best seats in the theatre and learn about its history.
Paige said, “It was amazing to stand on the stage and look out on to a magnificent view, lots of seats.” Ruby thought backstage views were very interesting, and Bradley couldn’t believe the cost price of some of the tickets. All were engaged and volunteered questions to our wonderful guide, Rosie.
Following lunch we visited the library. It was an impressive tour and we even got to visit the roof-top terrace. All enjoyed visiting the different floors and we also had a chance to roleplay our current read – ‘The One and Only Ivan’ on the stage in the discovery zone.
Pupils were a delight and as Mason was our star pupil, finding and sharing a book about the first world war, ‘Black poppies’ he was able to join the library and was proud to show off his Liverpool Football Library card.
