Year 10 Simon Singh Lecture

A group of our year 10s attended a Lecture at the University of Liverpool. Simon Singh gave a whistle-stop tour through two decades of his bestselling books. The Simpsons and their Mathematical Secrets explains how TV writers, throughout the show’s 35-year history, have smuggled in mathematical jokes.

Edge Hill University Maths Challenge Stage 2

21 specially selected year 9 pupils have been tackling the Second Stage of the Edge Hill University Mathematics Challenge after smashing Stage 1. This is an annual competition organised by the Faculty of Education that provides students the opportunity to take part in engaging mathematical activities while developing teamwork and communication skills. Our final 5 groups have shown a high level of endurance, humility and wisdom, good luck!
