CAREERS GUIDANCE INTERVIEWS

Woodchurch High School, a Church of England academy, has a fully planned and integrated careers education and work related learning programme.

Any pupil, in any year group, can self-refer to obtain a Careers Guidance interview. At certain times of the year however, certain groups of children may have to be prioritised. These groups include:

  • Year 11
  • Pupils who have yet to make any applications
  • Potential NEET pupils
  • Children who are Looked After (CLA / LAC)
  • SEND pupils
  • Pupil Premium children

Introducing your Careers Adviser

Pupils wishing to have a careers guidance interview should sign -up on the sheet outside the career leader’s office

Parents / carers are more than welcome to attend their child’s Careers Guidance Interview. If parents wish to attend, please contact the Careers Coordinator at school, so the interview can be arranged at a time that is convenient and fits around parental work / childcare commitments.

After each individual guidance interview, an action plan will be completed by the adviser and shared with the pupil. This action plan will include a summary of the discussions held, as well as key actions moving forward. This plan can be shared with parents / carers if requested.

See the documents below for days when Careers Guidance Interviews are scheduled:
