Summer McKittrick and Evie Daord took on the SPARKS challenge to see how much money they could make from £1. This challenge ties in with the book we have been reading, ‘ The Unforgotten Coat’, when one of the main characters, Chingis, sold homemade rockets, £1 a go and made £34.

Each year we try to equal or beat that and this year they did, from the initial £1 they raised £46.27p. They bought cakes and over a few weeks sold them at lunch and break times.

The money will be donated to one of our school charities. The girls have set a wonderful example of service in action. Well done.
