Poetry Competition for Young Writers (Ages 11–18)

Are you a young poet with something to say about “Home?”

The Wirral Poetry Festival is inviting pupils across the Liverpool City Region to enter its free youth poetry competition.

You can submit up to three unpublished poems (20 lines max), with cash prizes from £25 to £100 up for grabs. The competition is open to students aged 11–18 who live or study in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens or Wirral.

This is a brilliant chance to explore your creativity, share your voice, and be part of a well-established poetry festival that celebrates new talent.
