NEON: National Educational Opportunities Network
Woodchurch High School was the first secondary school in the country to join NEON. It is an organisation designed to promote aspirations in children, specifically around Higher Education. School worked with NEON to assess it’s HEI access provision.
Post-16 Transition
School takes very seriously our obligation to support children in their transition to post-16 destination routes / providers.
To tis end, school will meet with providers (such as Wirral Metropolitan College) and discuss the needs of pupils who apply. This is to ensure support, where needed, is put into place and thus eases transition and reduces the possibility of ‘drop-out’.
